Spiritual work is a profound contradiction, and you who seek a fulsome connection with your human spiritual experience will recognize this: on one hand you recognize the need for intensive and painfully lonely self-reflection, but on the other you know your true nature to be one that may only be lived in utter communion with all that is.
You will likely recognize, too, the need for guidance and teaching to support your path, and for the work of connecting to and learning to trust your own inner guidance more clearly.
If there is one way to describe the work of spiritual practice, it is paradox. Here, we must learn to be separate and wildly together, utterly still and moving in process, surrendered and full of agency, and with diamond-like clarity and spacious grace.
